Deleting a dataset

What is a dataset?

You can delete an entire dataset by selecting Delete Dataset from the Tools \ Administrator menu. You will be prompted to enter the Administrator password, even if you are have administrator access rights set for your session.

 

You will then be shown the datasets available for deletion. Select a dataset by highlighting it, and then click the Delete button. You will be prompted for the administrator password again. This extra security is included to ensure that datasets are not deleted accidentally. You will also then see a warning message informing you of the action that you are about to take, and reminding you how many clients will be deleted if you continue.

 

Select Yes to permanently delete the dataset and all the clients within it.

 

Warning: Deleting a dataset will delete all the clients you have set up for this dataset and all of their data. It is advisable to check a dataset before deleting it and move any clients you wish to keep into another dataset using the Client Import/Export program (found in the Sage Toolbox on the Windows Start Menu)
